There are three different debarkers at Downie, for three different sizes of wood. The Nicholson Small Ring Debarker removes bark from 4-22inch diameter logs. The Nicholson Large Ring Debarker removes bark from 22-44inch diameter logs and the Rosser Head Debarker removes bark from 45-72 inch logs. The Rosser Head Debarker also debarks irregular, or difficult shapes. This tour will mainly deal with the Rosser Head Debarker and the Nicholson Small Ring Debarker.
