Grade 3 Teaching Kit: “Community Development – The History of Logging”

A recent update and revision of an old favourite, the Grade 3 teaching kit, was completed this year and has been introduced to educators in Okanagan and Thompson districts.  This kit will continue to be workshopped to teachers in zones around the Southern Interior at the beginning of the 08/-09 school year.  Teachers are welcome to download all materials from the website for use in the classroom - see Lesson Plans.

Including a video, slideshow and the new storybook, "Early Settlers and the Forest", the Gr. 3 teachers' resource kit offers students a look at logging's past and present practices.
