Tree Planting Day at McNicoll Park in Penticton
On April 10th, students from McNicoll Park had the opportunity to plant trees along Penticton Creek. Grades 4-7 students learned some interesting facts about trees and selected their own Ponderosa Pine seedling for planting. Thanks to Phil Rippin (City of Penticton) and his parks staff, this event was a huge success! |
Grade 5 Forestry Day
Grade five students from Kelowna traveled to Beaverdell to learn about forest ecology, tree measurements, and compassing. Thanks to RSS forestry teacher Wayne Price and his students for their assistance with the instruction. |
