ABCFP Offers Career Resources to Educators
Are you looking for free forest teaching resources to include in your classroom? The Association of BC Forest Professionals (ABCFP) has many items available to help you teach your students about BC’s number one industry.

The ABCFP, the registering and regulating body for BC’s professional foresters and forest technologists, is interested in promoting the forestry profession to students. The ABCFP hopes to ensure that there are future generations of forest professionals to continue the tradition of responsible forest management in BC.

Resources available for educators include classroom and human resources. Offered on the ABCFP website (www.abcfp.ca), is a classroom PowerPoint presentation with handouts and a quiz. A colour brochure/poster featuring basic information on forestry careers can also be accessed from the website or mailed upon request.

There are many forest professionals who are willing to visit schools, career fairs and other venues to speak to students about careers in forestry and their experiences in the sector. They are able to put a face on the profession and share their wisdom and knowledge.

Visit to the Promoting the Profession page of the ABCFP website to access classroom resources for educators.
