ILA Forest Education Van- School Tours

This spring, the ILA Forest Education van has been on the road once again, visiting schools from the Cariboo to the Okanagan, as well as the "Women in Resource Communities" Conference in 100 Mile House, the ILA 48 th Annual Trades Convention in Kamloops and the "Introduction to Forestry" program for area high school students at Silver Lake at the end of May. During the month of May, over 1300 students in the South Okanagan will be attending van presentations at their schools.

UBC Forestry graduate, Geoff Smart, has been re-hired by the ILA from May until August to tour the van around the Southern Interior. Geoff did a great job last summer and hopes to bring the van to many communities, provincial parks, special events and schools again this year with some new presentations.
