Temperate Forest Foundation Teacher Tours

The Temperate Forest Foundation is pleased to announce the locations and dates for their 2005 Forestry Tours for Teachers:

• June 15-18: South Central Hot Spring, Arkansas
• July 6-9: Western Canadian Vancouver, British Columbia
• July 20-23: Lake States Grand Rapids, Minnesota
• August 10-13: Northeastern Saranac Lake, New York

While the Western Canadian tour for this summer is full, the TFF has proposed a possible tour for the Southern Interior of BC next summer, so stay tuned for more information on that event.

Sponsors are encouraged to recruit teachers from their local communities. Interested teachers will be matched with sponsors who pay their transportation and registration fee. The emphasis is on urban teachers (science/social studies) in grades 3-8, but all K-12 teachers are accepted. Learn more by clicking on "Teachers" at the TFF homepage: www.forestinfo.org.
