"Lost in the Woods"- Fall Pro D Day

With the secondary students being so enthusiastic about their “Intro to Forestry Camp”, we decided to offer the teachers a chance to experience some of the activities the students liked best.  Teachers operated fire hoses, used modern technology to measure tree height and record plot information, and used compasses and GPS units to produce a map.  The day ended with a hike through the woods to look at various forest health issues and enjoy nature’s serenity.
