Career Events in the Okanagan-Columbia Zone

In November, Kalon provided a display at the annual Okanagan College Career Fair in Kelowna, outlining the diversity of forestry-related career opportunities and post-secondary programs within BC. With the help of Mike Doiron (Tolko) and Randy Hardy (Gorman Brothers), they met one-on-one with over 100 high school and post-secondary students.

February 24th will find Kalon presenting and providing forestry related career and post-secondary information at the annual Okanagan Education and Career Fair in Kelowna with support from Debbie Bazett (COFI). This event attracts over 1000 students from throughout the Southern Interior.

Kalon will also be setting up a "careers in forestry" display at the Penticton Rotary Career Expo in early April, where close to 1000 students from areas such as Penticton, Oliver, Osoyoos, Keremeos and Princeton are expected to attend.
