National Forest Week 2006

You may have heard that National Forest Week is being moved to the end of September. For those of us in the Southern Interior, we will continue to celebrate in the spring when we can offer presentations that will promote exploration of our forests. The Canadian Forestry Association theme is "The Boreal Forest", which we will incorporate into our theme of "The Biogeoclimatic Zones of BC". This is a presentation that we are just beginning to put together with some assistance from other forest educators in BC's southern interior. We will share more in the June newsletter, but you will be able to download the lesson plan later in May by visiting www.learnforestry.com and clicking on "Lesson Plans".
