Can you think of some advantages and disadvantages of trains? Advantages: could haul huge loads of logs and travel longer distances
Disadvantages: limited number of places they could go, expensive, had to
travel where tracks were laid, could only travel up small slopes - any climbing
would take a long time
Timber was so large and there was a lack of streams to drive logs so trains became more common
